Chris- daughter spent 4 weeks working part-time for her elective in St. Lucia a few January's back. 'luckysodsmiley'
The Goldfinches have found the feeder, after nearly all the niger seeds been snaffled by the squirrels. Think I'll nip to GC tmrw for a look-see at Dahlias to replace some of my losses & buy some more seed. Dozy so n so today when I phoned to enquire if the previously empty boxes now had the tubers in situ- OMG hopeless, but they have some apparently. Not too fussed.
Start them off in any old MP compost in 3litre pots end of Feb on a sunny sill in house.
Want a new Bishop, or 2, as replacements of past losses & any others that I fancy. All mine have to go in pots because of the slug/snail attack around here. Still dont know the variety of the 2 unlabelled ones ones that are still looking fine in the big coldframe. Daughter's posh one, a wonderful dble lemon yellow with a long German sounding name which escapes me, is tucked up under the plant table in our porch, along with the Chocolate cosmos.
Daughter bored, asked what she could do, but has disappeared as soon as I carried in a basket of ironing etc.. typical.
Right, off now, as after a day being out all morning & spending most of afternoon on phone to various people, I do need to do something around here. Otherwise tomorrow I will be mad busy & in a temper!
BTW well done Becks. Now secure them well- nag, nag! J.
