This is why I don't iron underwear, might melt it.

Thank you for your kind wishes. Feel better after a couple of whiskies.

Geoff, we are an hour ahead so it's now about quarter to midnight, but since being retired we go to bed late and get up late. Used to get up at 6.15am now it's nearer 9.15, but that is 8.15 in UK. Loved all the men ironing photos!

Sorry about your cold Bunny, hope you feel better soon.

  • Morning Pam and any early forkers. Enjoy the GC Pam, don't try too hard!

I missed Mary Berry, she is my favourites, so down to earth and sensible. What was it on?

    Morning, international forking set,

That's disturbing, when our gardening journalist authority loses stuff.

I fancy another trip to the GC myself (went last week) to see what's new, and get some compost for seed sowing.

  • Morning Gary. Forgot that I still had HK on, better change it now I am not international any more!

Morniing forking folk, imageAnother power cut yesterday. Gave up and went to friends and when I came back discovered it was only for 20mins. Must have been another repair. I am now fed up of re-setting clocks . Cooker, micro, alarms etc etc.but all is well now . See what today brings.

I would love to be able to grow dahlias but no matter what I do, the slugs get them- sorry to hear what happened to yours , Pam. Hopefully , this year may not be as wet as last.

    Gary - Think I got a bargain at our GC. 60lts of J A Bowers with added J Innes £5 99 image

Are you back on UK time Glyn ? Would imagine it would take some time to adjust.. Fancy a trip to GC also but my purse has just ran away.image

If anyone should be able to keep plants, it ought to be you. What hope do the rest of us have (besides luck).

My dahlias seem to have been OK, and still are (I think).

You didn't say whether yours rotted in the ground, or in storage.
