I have to say, I'm quite degusted by the defence of Luis Suarez's abominable behaviour at the World Cup by the Uruguayan authorities and would (as a Liverpool supporter) hope that the club plans to move forward without him.
No worries, phillippa.....some get it, others don't.
It hasn't been a brilliant World Cup, but for me the drumming by Germany of the host nation (Brazil) was a breath-taking display of the artistry 'beautiful game'.
No matter who they play against I would never bet against Germany. Just a pity we can't watch Brasil of the 70's, loved every minute, all were stars in their own right and such skill as a team.
I once had Holland in the work sweep stake in Kruyff's days and offered to swap my collegue for his Germany ticket, he said not fair as Holland would win. I was so disappointed, but I did win thirty quid as Holland won the cup and in those day 30 quid was worth having.
I've seen J Kruyff play for Barcelona at Elland Rd and never seen a man who could bend his body in so many ways he was like a rubber man...enough reminiscing, lets hope the final on Sunday is a good one.
There's only one country that could stop this German team KEF and that's Italy but they're already out.Germany have never beaten Italy in a competitive match, its true

They have David and I wish your team well

Thanks, KEF...I hadn't heard until you said, although it seemed inevitable.
Liverpool FC is better than that and although I will remember his 'genius' fondly, the £75m will be more important for the clubs future.

And then of course the new domestic season starts in August so hardly any break at all :-P
