    @ Wintersong - I know just what you mean by diddling round for ages until you hit the right combo. I have a spot which just needs the perfect punctuation point, think I'm on version # 97 at the moment.

    @figrat, I guess garden designers just have the knack, but its much more satisfying when we do it ourselves. image

    I would love a change in levels. I think it adds so much interest to a garden and I am much better at placing plants off existing structures or landscaping than arranging a flat empty bed.

    It's really stupid that I am a competent artist in so many other crafts and hobbies and understand colour and composition naturally and yet I dither and faff about like some numpty in the garden. My hubby says, just plant it already...but I can't be satified with less than perfection image

    @lilylousie.. WOW!!! what can i say.. your garden is absobutely gorgeous.. it is well ebtablished.. and must take all day to walk round and weed.. the front garden colour palet is lush.. i feel very envious.. i hope mine to be like that when it gets going..

    @inkadog.. would aso love to see a video of your friends Zona's garden also..

    i have been in garden also.. weeding tidying up lawn edges and general standing and admiring my amazing bearded iris.. 2 years i have been waiting for it to flower.. didnt know the colour at all.. so here it is.

    @Gardenfantic, oh how lovely this is. I am still biding my time for an Iris, as I want the colour to match its place of which, I am not yet decided. image

    @wintersong.. it is gorgeous isnt it.. i love iris's and bearded ones more so.. i have a deep dark purple velvet one in garden.. with most gorgeous yellow centre.. and a gorgeous deep orange dwarf one to.. if you want any let me know when i split them late in year i can send you some.image
