Geoff, the angle on the last photo is perfect, if it was slightly cropped so that you included the chain and basket for interest and continuity but less wall...(that distracts the eye) well, I would put that as a perfect pic! The colours of the Viola are really beautiful.
Loving that Negrita Tulip kate. Thanks for the name. I'll add that to my never ending gardening list called 'I want'.
Only joking with the camera Geoff. Love seeing your piccys. x
I see my lovely DD boys are headlining the Olympics concert! Some fool had the temerity to suggest those spotty oiks, One Direction, as an alternative! Ha!
Phew, just got the lawn cut before down came the rain! Yesterday's warm weather had actually dried it off really well- considering it was skwelchy (!) yesterday when I was hanging out the washing.
Managed to get the shopping done & have a coffee out in between umpteen phone calls etc etc. Think have phoned everyone back........
The wind yesterday had removed the cloche lid yet again- definite brick on top now!
Anybody tried growing courgettes on top of a compost bin/heap? Have 4 really healthy seedlings & only space for 2, so just wondered ..... J.

See Wintersong understands my shortcomings-
don't worry Yvie I can take it

I did notice that a few weeks back the temperature range in the greenhouse within a few hours was 40C
Seaside oldie, figrat you have both done well -have some cake
It certainly was a surprise Kate, and I didn't catch a thing! Cake a fine idea.
Wintersong-have been fiddling-not sure it acheived anything
It didn't.
Ok, man-up Geoffrey! Stop sucking up to Winter
, She'll see through your puppy-dog eyes soon enough, mark my words
. You little charmer, you.
You're as busy as ever Jo. I've never grown Courgettes, or anything else on a compost heap. I don't like Courgettes.

Jo glad it was dry enough there to cut your grass, but please take it easy sometimes.
