Is that Blackpool? OL that sounds like a good night in! I like the box and yew hedges, and I think your picture is delightful David. Maybe the box looks better in the sun than in the shade. I do enjoy a formal garden though, and I realise looking back that every time OH and I have got our hands on a garden, we have immediately drawn a circle and square pattern and filled in from there. This one however, needs a lot of re-organisation - some plants are too big and squashing out other ones, and there is no symmetry - it is just a hotch potch of things I like or have got cheap, or been given by neighbours. I am now heading out into the paddock and making new beds, so next winter when the plants are resting, I am going to do a serious rethink and move stuff about.
Yes it is Blackpool.... The Seasiders.....Tangerine Army Keeping everything crossed we can stay up and I will forgive OH another drinking session if I get to watch all the GW episodes whilst I celebrate LOL!!
My problem with GWs format at the moment is the specialist parts.. It seems Montys doing about 5 minutes mixed with documentary after documentary regarding quite often blaaaah..
To me the format works best when we get too see more of the garden its being presented from and how its developing over the year - but we seem now to spend so little time at Longmeadow it lacks any coherent structure..
This worked well when Alan T presented from his garden (but the downside was we had to put up with Alan T )
break - I think you are spot on there. Yeah - that's nice, so how do 'I' get one of those to grow then? OL, I checked whether Blackpool's fortunes were contra-indicated with Scunthorpe's but different leagues - ha-ha - so viva Blackpool!!
I take it all back...no Gw this Week??????? 30mins was better than nothing!!! How am I gonna start my weekend?????? Oh the grief.............however...I am going to Chelsea soon....yippee what a treat!!!! And guess who's main presenter on tv
