Oh,David, that is a beauty! What a fantastic colour! I don't think 'im outdoors (my other half), has got that one. No room for more though I'm afraid. I've been wandering round the garden looking for spaces )or some lawn to dig up and make another bed). I need more space!

    Lililouside..your garden is just beautiful!

  • Thanks, Tina..I've been looking for another pic that gives a better idea of the number of blooms, this is the only one I could find:

Btw, I planted it to cover an unsightly clothes post.

That is a lovely plant! I bought a Doctor Ruppel, as I liked the colouring, but I think that solid pink is nicer. I'm sure I can find a spot somewhere...probably in next doors garden! LOL!

  • This is one that takes up no room at all, Tina....it's named Perle d' Azur and grows in the canopy of my old damson tree.

So here it is, taken on the one day of Summer and looking well battered by rain.

Those dahlias are beautiful! The slugs ate all mine within 24 hours of planting. I hate slugs.

David, the clematis in your damson tree is a beauty! We have a montana that almost covers an old apple tree. In fact, the tree's sole reason is now to hold the clematis up! The tree is ancient, and doesn't bear any nice fruit, but the clematis and the ivy provides nesting and roosting for load of birds.
