Teesside, we got a good soaking too yesterday Geof so it was country wide. Today is all over grey cloud and when I put the bins out spitting a bit, still it is getting lighter by the minute from the East so we must have sea breezes this morning. It is green waste day so bags of lawn mowings I have saved, I use some well mixed with rougher stuff in my compost but have far too much to keep it all.
Just heard on the radio in response to whether the hose pipe ban is still on in parts of the UK: "..apparently if you have a lot of them, you're allowed to use them to build a shelter from the rain."
Well were are, oh yes it's Thursday, well on Monday it rained, on Tuesday it rained, on Wednesday it rained, and today Thursday guess what it's doing yes its raining, the Guiness Trust came round yesterday in the pourinr rain and cut the grass, it got a bit chewed but at least it's tidy for now.

Lucky you - it's thrown it down all day here.
Mind you, we are officially in drought, so I shouldn't complain
Heavy showers all morning in Somerset, but it dried up for most of the afternoon. But very chilly, and definitely not gardening weather.
Letter to the Telegraph today poses the question: "Is this the wettest drought since records began?"
I like it!
Southampton-dry a the moment but boy oh boy some heavy showers yesterday-more expected today

Frank.
A bit grey, a bit damp, still cold. Heavy showers and strong winds forecast. Oh joy!
Northeast is still wet, dull and chilly.

Rain
South-East inland: grey skies, showers with brighter patches, chilly winds.
