Rain this morning which (for a change) wasn't forecast, dried up by lunchtime and some sunshine this afternoon, but still too bloomin' cold for May. I am beginning to wonder if I will even get to plant out this year. We've had a couple of warmer days but by no means settled yet.
I've been leaving the GH door open everyday and opening the plastic GH, closing both when I get home in the evening. Everything looks like it's itching to grow but just need's some heat and sun.
Dull and dry in Stockton, the troilus is blooming and the Rhododendron's too so the plants are enjoying it. Daughter in California tells me they got home from here to 89F, to hot to eat she says, can she ship some over I ask?
89F would be nice for a while.but I don,t think I could stick it for too long.Maybe your daughter could just ship over enough for the Bank Holiday, Frank

Poured with rain for 5th day running, ground sodden and squelchy, 10°. SW France!
Whilst I was at work the sun finally came out to play, got home this evening and all the french beans were sprouting.
Dull start, but definate signs of blue skies, beautiful red skies last night,so have high hopes of a better day.
