At the moment I am listening to Artic Monkeys, my neighbours think I am mad one week its Tina Turner next week abit of Dance my genre range is a bit mental from one extreme to the other
only had 5 mins in garden yesterday but as we had sleet i didn't mind, left kitchen door open to hear radio 'money for nothing' dire straits, what a riff! i know it's dad rock don'care!
For years I liked certain music that I called my guilty pleasures. That included stuff like Dire Straits, Romeo and Juliet, I liked it but thought I should not. I now think there is no such thing as bad music; only music you like, and, music you dont.
The Birdy song is fine if that is your thing.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
This a fantastic thread!! Music is such a personal and diverse medium and the beauty is, there's so much of it out there waiting to be discovered and listened to. Love some of the choices on here....esp some of PunkDoc's..... (hope The Damned track down the gym wasn't 'Smash It Up')
This one's been on frequent playback at the moment... and it has a garden related theme!
If I'm relaxing in the garden, listening to music and 'cloud watching' I tend to listen to warm, drifting, ambient stuff ....... seems to suit the mood Three of my faves...
my fave song ever came on radio just as i wandered out to check sweet peas acdc 'touch too much,' used to be my dancefloor song think i've forgotten how to dance properly though can just do mummy dancing in kitchen!
Today I listened to a lot of 90's indie, the other day it was some ACDC, nothing better than a bit of Hells Bells of an evening. Otherwise it'll probably be Queen, Fleetwood Mac, lately I've been listening to a band called Haim, sort of like Stevie Nicks meets 2014... Really good honest! And some Lana Del Ray. Without wanting to sound like a bit of a music ponce, I really will listen to most things, but 70's 'Dad Rock' is really what gets me feet a-tappin'!
