Just been listening to Radio 6 in bed, an interview with Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunneymen, happy memories. Also played Gimme Shelter by the Stones, probably my favourite song of theirs.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Have you heard his first solo album 'Candleland' pd? My ex hubby liked them - and I loved that album though I wasn't a fan of the band. Might have to buy it again as I had it on a cassette....aah happy days!
The Stones were great in their heyday. Brown Sugar was my favourite I'd say. Much preferred them to the Beatles - you were in one camp or or the other then! Watched a Ray Davies thing last night - loved early Kinks stuff. You Really Got me and All Day and All of the Night. Superb.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Love-- Here we are and Don't wanna lose you now, haven't heard those for ages.
Tracey-N, I believe that one should never dis-respect another person's culture
. I like the fact that this thread represents a huge range of tastes.
Me too Artjak and it is reminding me of songs I have forgotten about and haven't heard for ages. I strongly believe in each to their own
Me too Lily and not heard them for ages either.

(and I like the song!)
