Tracey-N, I believe that one should never dis-respect another person's cultureimage. I like the fact that this thread represents a huge range of tastes.image

Me too Artjak and it is reminding me of songs I have forgotten about and haven't heard for ages.  I strongly believe in each to their own image

Me too Lily and not heard them for ages either.image

Just been listening to Radio 6 in bed, an interview with Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunneymen, happy memories. Also played Gimme Shelter by the Stones, probably my favourite song of theirs.

Have you heard his first solo album 'Candleland' pd? My ex hubby liked them - and I loved that album though I wasn't a fan of the band. Might have to buy it again as I had it on a cassette....aah happy days! image

The Stones were great in their heyday. Brown Sugar was my favourite I'd say. Much preferred them to the Beatles - you were in one camp or or the other then! Watched a Ray Davies thing last night -  loved early Kinks stuff. You Really Got me and All Day and All of the Night. Superb.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
