Thank you, John explored those possibilities, even used 'system restore' to rule out any recent changes. My hard-drive pie chart indicates 629GB free space.
I was really annoyed at last week's camera club session (competition week) when the winner in the advance section with (what looked like) a stunning shot of a barn owl hovering in flight, took first place .....truth is, it was a total fake.
The member freely admitted it was posed for at a bird sanctuary and the owl was in fact perched on the arm of a handler...using photoshop, he had cloned-out the handler's arm completely.
I know the Americans look upon anyone not digitally manipulating their shots, as odd.
KEF - Another lovely shot from you. I love the dark background, it enhances the focal point beautifully......you're getting quite good at this.
Pleased to say I've managed to sort out my memory card reader problem. The inbuilt reader was kaput, so now I just need to use a separate memory card reader via the USB port.
Great new David. Hope to see more fantastic photos soon.
Thanks, Edd.....weather permitting I'm planning a visit to a tropical butterfly farm soon, so maybe something from that. I've already checked re taking pics & it's allowed.
Oh, and have my membership papers through this morning, having joined the West Midlands Bird Club.....permits for access to several reservoirs etc.
David I think they are going to make good subjects (just hark at me!) That is the most detail I've seen on a butterfly, that's why I love macro shots, I can see more like carrying a magnifying glass with you. ..think people will know what I mean.

David I hope you get your computer problems sorted soon.
Just one from me, my freebie tulips that council were giving away when they did the traffic island. Didn't have any idea what colour they would be.

Rather have a dozen spring cabbage plants, these days!
Surely sprouting broccoli David
Looking forward to butterfly photos. I hope no cabbage whites sneak in.
Might get some pictures at weekend, weather forecast is better.
Taken at Sandringham last summer.
