How do people with big garden's cope?

I've got one a 1/6 of the size of one person's I've visited and I'm yet again tired, been hoeing, moving netting, weeding, watering pots and had a trauma image Went to neighbour's to close GH a bit as cool and rain and 3 blinking magpies in there. No scary face smiley ..I'm not good with big birds unless I put them in the oven.

They were flapping about etc..so I stood back and two adults ?came out and slightly smaller one going nuts amongst the tomsimage I couldn't get behind GH to scare it out the front then it got behind inside netting used as shading..I fess up I had to shout Under Gardener who went in untangled it and got it out. I hope they are as smart as they and don't go in again.

I need Ice cream or a vino image

There is a lot to be said for big birds. Must resist temptation to make inappropriate comments.

Thanks Panda  I'm now chilled I think, hope no nightmares. I once went to put something in a waste bin and a huge great black crow thing flew out and brushed past me, I 've not been right sinceimage  That and as a kid on shoe cleaning duty down the cellar I missed on the way down 2 pheasants hanging on a clothes horse to mature, scared to death to come back up past them. image

Scary GH scenes KEF - hate flappy things in enclosed spaces tooimage

Marathon planting weekend successfully completed.  Not many more gaps left in the borders and watering duty seriously shortened.  Been pretty cold and cloudy here but no rain.

inspired by Fergus G on Wednesday, i am now reading Christopher Lloyds biography ..... what a mother imageimage

Evening all - what on earth have you all been drinking? Flappy birds, big birds, scary birds and  pheasants on clothes horses....image

    Any cake left Dove? image

Been very busy and now very tired. Potting stuff on, planting up the new tray of strawbs, and making some trellis which is now painted and attached along with the one I made yesterday. Need some tea to go with that cake....

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
