Oh dove I love the river cottage preserve book.... Just bought some round carrots for lo to grow as they are shallow rooting which I think will be better for the veg bed as last years contorted efforts showed
Hugs Stacey, your LO sounds a very bright little button I couldn't wait to start school to escape my younger Bro & Sis (twins) I wanted someone to play with who could talk
Marmalade yum jam
Hope work is okay for peeps..soon be teatime and lighter evenings.
I'm going to get some new potting compost today and pot up my recently acquired bare to it plants and maybe later get in the garden and plant my GC purchases.
I love making jams & marmalade etc, I am making my sisters wedding favours for her, little pots of jam, marmalade and lemon curd. I might try using Demerara sugar and see what it's like, will need a trial run first though.
If anyone lives in Devon or Cornwall you can get an almost free season ticket to the Eden project, I got mine yesterday, 8.50 for the year and direct debit at 8.50 for the following year. Must be done by the 5th march though.
I had a lovely day there yesterday, it started to rain at about 1.30 but we were coming home then anyway.
