No cake in this oven Clari - roast beef going in there in a bit, but OH managed to hide some of yesterday's away from Lily, so we can have some more this afternoon, unless anyone else is baking today? image

I've just made a batch of cheese scones if you fancy one Clari? And anyone else of course!

Finally got off my fat one and into the garden. Clari was right, jumper and hat on and I had a blast! Planted up some bulbs image Should have been done before now, but ox says plant from Oct-Dec so I'm not too late!! Tidied up (read mended) the placcy greenhouse. Did an inspection of the garden and was delighted to see that the Daffs in the lawn are starting to poke their heads through. I know it's too early for them but at least they are growing!

And finally put up my bug box! Gg, have I put it in a suitable place? It's on my pear tree.

Sorry haven't read posts. Just here to grumble, no one else to moan to.image

The much loved 85 yr old informed me 15 mins ago when I rang her ( she has free calls at weekend)  that her drains are blocked. I was there Fri replacing a light tube in utility room ( won't bore you about her out her in garage on ladder getting a lamp out instead of using a desk lamp / torch for overnight)  image

Other sisters there yesterday . Drain problems since Friday morning but was too busy telling me about her hairdresser's saga that she didn't remember to mention the fact.  So my H bless him is up there tomoz sorting out what needs to be done.

I swear I am one of 4. Guess my H is just a nice chap.

Anyone want a nice 85yr old who know loads about trees  / shrubs?

Off to eat now, more likely just knash my teeth.

Evening all. Was a lovely sunny day today, only 2° this morning but 16° this afternoon. No gardening though, went to lunch with son and his pregnant wife (7th grandchild), then we all went for a long walk in the woods. It was very muddy in parts, dratted quads have stirred it all up. Didn't need a coat and got hot.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Perhaps we all need a night out, this weather is getting on my nerves,
