Wonky - sorry your lovely hub is still poorly - nice for him that you're at home today
Think you're right about the driving - a bit slippy/slidey around here today. I have to go down to the village today - but I'll leave it until a bit later when hopefully the ice will have thawed.
I've had some dough rising overnight so the house will smell of bread baking later this morning
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all - frosty here too, but no fog at present. We get a lot of "inversion" fogs here at the bottom of the valley. If you go up the valley side a hundred feet or so, you often come out into the sun, and can look down on the "sea" of white below you. Very pretty, providing you're not stuck in the foggy bit...
I was wondering about Pat too. Hope she feels well enough to post soon; I was thinking of her the other evening when watching "Grand Designs Australia", where a young couple were replacing their home, destroyed in a bush fire, with a fireproof eco home.
Wonky, hope that flooring arrives on time! And hope your OH feels better soon - you two have had a rough time of it lately by the sound of things xx
Busy L, enjoy your new sewing machine. And I'm with you about Hosta's wallpaper - it's absolutely beautiful, and would look gorgeous in... someone else's house. I'm a paint-on-rough-plaster woman myself
Flowers, have a great weekend. Hope the weather holds for you...
You doing ok, DD? Hope you're feeling better.
Have a great day, folks!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Thanks for the comments re wallpaper. OH is Painter/ decorator so pretty much his idea. I did work out it'd have been cheaper to glue £1 coins next to each other from one end of the wall to the other. Big patter = lots of waste. We do love them though.
Cloudy and windy here to-day so no idea how to fill it. I even tried to sleep after breakfast but failed, 4 1/2 hours sleep last night grrr.

No news from Runnybeak either, for a week.

Mmmm, freshly baked bread, Dove...
my Singer treadle sewing machine is 99 years old next month.
It cost £7 11sh on Feb 10th 1917. I'm sure a pretty huge expense, esp during the war.
I've still got the original bill, handbook and accessories in their original, if a bit beaten, box.
your best yet Verdun.
