Was verg-ing (get it!) on watching Mr Stewart too Dove but thought I'd better go and get the shopping instead. Dreary wet afternoon here but consoling myself with Callas on the CD player. Tracey - if you think 'Mamma Morta' - (the piece they use for Philadelphia) is heartbreaking, get hold of her recording of the 'Casta Diva' aria from Norma, one of her most famous roles. It will leave you in shreds. You'll recognise it too I'd bet   image

Stacaey - tut tut. Aren't you a few days early for pancakes....image

Watcha planning for the pond Dove?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi Alium, no I didn't, it has been raining on and off all day and also the lawn is really boggy so trying not to walk on it.  I'll get them done this week. I am going to sow my Aubergine seeds now though (not in the garden obviously image)

Didn't rain today so been busy outside. Weedkilled paths and terraces, also spot treated dandelions, grass and buttercups in flower beds. Hands are too arthritic at the moment to dig them out of heavy wet soil.

Crawled about in a shrub bed cutting and digging out brambles that seem to have got huge when I wasn't looking, bit painful that was!

Pruned Etoile Violette which had also got huge, a matted tangle. It's hard prune so not really complicated.

Good TV night tonight. Love "Call the Midwife". Will watch Musketeers too.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Fairy I have a CD of Norma by Callas, never played it, I will now. Well not at this minute.

Time for evening meal and feet up. I've done my HW as it's rained most of the day. OOps forgot to do the ironingimage

    See you all tomorrow.

Looks like you all have been busy again. I've not been into my garden today. Did see my friends though. She rents, and had a year out of the house and in that time the flower beds she had dug out had been left to turn to grass. image You can see where they were thanks to the crocus and daffs that have busted through. I have offered my assistance for when she wants to start again. image
