Just a quick pop in. I am decorating. I got up this morning, having been woken by OH at silly o clock, when he went off to work. I decided I couldn't stand the living room walls anymore, so while he is in Manchester for three days, I have been to B&Q, bought paint and a roller, and started painting. One and a half ceilings painted, part of the walls, some of the coving, top of my head when I bumped it on the ceiling, and a T shirt totally ruined.
Still not sure of the walls colour though. It might look better in daylight.
Lol fidget, I get as much on me as the walls when I paint. I think I have too much paint on the roller, my face is usually splattered with paint! Hope you like the colour in the morning!
I've got lots of dust sheets I keep moving around and painting a bit. The ceilings are matt brilliant white. the walls are blossom white. The paper under was more apricot/sponged/ mottled effect. Trouble is I cant afford to replace all the carpets, sofas and curtains, so I cant deviate too much from existing scheme. I have two sets of curtains at either end, floor to ceiling, 12 foot wide, made to measure and lined. Last time it cost me £100 per pair to have them dry cleaned. they are cotton so I am debating washing them in the bath. I suppose I should have done that when the weather was warmer. The cushion covers are made out of the same material, and they wash ok in the washer on 40 degree wash so the curtains should be OK in the bath.
OH said that he looked out of the window at lunchtime today and saw the decorator who's working at the house opposite open the back doors of his van ............. and a big can of emulsion rolled out of the van and fell onto the road and a huge pancake of while emulsion dolloped onto the gravel and began to run down the hill.
Mrs Opposite ran around and twittered and flapped and Mr Opposite rushed out with the hosepipe and washed the road down, and then proceeded to hose down the decorator in his overalls!
OH said it was just like a scene from Trumpton.
He considers himself very lucky to have been looking out of the window this lunchtime - it's not often he gets such great live entertainment
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Washing those large curtains is a real challenge. I managed to force ours into the washing a=machine one at a time and they're Ok. But they're so old I think it will have been their wash. Maybe a new set within the next few years.

Ooooo fidget lewllyn bones lmao
Nice colours fidget, . Curtains should be ok in the bath, but be careful as they are lined. One fabric might shrink more than the other.
...and for my next trick, my friend wants me to make a centre piece for the table for xmas, as I have lots of holly. Well it needs a trim anyway.
Seems like it's Decorating Day!!!
