I'd spend time on my knees spraying the little *******s with Resolva Lesley....
I managed to break one trying to chip bits off as they're a teeny tiny bit wide for the space () but the others are done and the gravel can then be taken right up to them and neatly contained. There's a step down to the space where I have my car so I think I'll get a couple more to face the little bit of wall below the step , just to finish it off more neatly.
Still a bit of hard landscaping to do here and there, but getting more areas ready for planting up now
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've broken a few too Fairy. My joints and muscles aren't what they used to be so my half done mini-patio is having a rest. I will use weed killer on the driveway and (bane of my life) crazy paving, but try to avoid it in the beds if I can. The Roundup gel worked when I had buttercups swamping a geum. There's no way I could have separated them.
Just checked the mountain forecast for tomorrow and it's now looking a bit more favourable for walking so gardening may take a back seat again
Those slabs and seeds will have to wait I think...
The paving isn't a uniform, smooth edged rectangle Lesley which is the problem. I'll get there eventually. I may have to make a final raised bed so that I can put all the broken bits in the bottom for drainage!
I know what you mean about the sore joints - it's a terrible thing reaching thirty isn't it ?

I have a Trillium luteum which I have had a long time. it is in the shade of a holly(on the North side, and although it has increased its not brilliant.
The new ones are going to go on the edge of the canopy of the oak . I always wanted a double grandiflora, ever since I saw a big patch of them at Bressingham. They wil get more sun until the leaves start, and then morning and evening sun, but protected from the heat in the middle of the day. Thats the plan anyway.
Other than that, its remembering where they areand not putting a fork through them.
I've bent a trowel today, digging out a dandelion. That'll teach me for buying a cheap trowel from Tesco, even if it was Stainless Steel, and labelled Dobbies.
Been doing more bits for the Dublin trip - only 10 days away now
GC shopping got rained off yest so the new pots are still waiting for the compost to enable me to fill them I do have some plants for them - one will have my witch hazel, not sure on the other two Need some more planning Oh, and a trip to the local market Might find some sticky plants there!

They're really nice fidget - not sure I have room in the most suitable area to squeeze any in though!
I regretted my new cheap edging shears - until I saw how well they cut the edges!

Oh, and a trip to the local market

Hope you are feeling better Lizzie
Fidget, you don't know your own strength
, My main criteria for garden tools now is how comfortable the handle is.
Hope you get walking tomorrow Fairy - if you do it means the weather's not too bad here
.
I use a bulb planter as a trowel for exactly that reason Lesley - it has a nice comfy handle
Think the weather might be better over your way anyway . Snow forecast for further north though so think I may be staying on the west side if I go.
Are you having a hol Panda? Think I missed you saying you were going away.
What homework do you have W'song?
