    Yes Lily they are.  Pleasure Clari, mine are all going in the border, the hounds trample on them if in the grass image

    We haven't got hounds yet although we both want one - unfortunately unless I win the lottery (I don't play) we can't as we both work full time (and I don't think work would appreciate my bringing a "companion" to sit under my desk). So these will be safe for a while - at least until they get established for a few years!

    What do you mean by too pristine Mrs. Garden?

    I was going to go for the throw a handful of gravel and pot where the biggest chunks land approach to try and create a "natural" effect.

    Does anyone have any better suggestions?

    I think I'm going with the pristine look as they will probably be planted evenly in clumps along the border image

    Hi, back home now. Done half a shift at M's. Two borders tidied, daren't count how many more need doing image

    I spread snowdrops in a broad band along the edges of paths. Spaced about 3 inch apart, they soon thicken up to give a continous white stripe.  Odd ones pushed between perennials will thicken into a clump in  two or three years.
