Not as sore as the previous two sessions made me, it's definitely getting better.  Grandaughter came home with a bruised/cut chin and a grazed knee having fallen over in the playground.  Lots of cuddles and a few sweets sorted that out.  Been really sneaky today and done washing for firstborn but dried it in tumble dryer and warm folded it.  She now thinks I've done all the ironing Ha Ha.

Sorry to hear about your floor Dove, really annoying on a nice wood floor, I bet you will have to polish it again.

Bubble wrap arrive for the greenhouse.  I'm not going to insulate it yet, especially as the weather forecast says the weekend is going to be warm.

I'm going to finish off tea and choccy biscuits and then I think it will be an early night.

Evening folks.  No gardening here, but will be spending part of next week at my daughter's while the family's in Ireland, getting her garden in a suitable state to put the house on the market...

Anyone got any magic tips for weeding block paving at this time of year?

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

My tip for weeding paving is glyphosate. It just takes longer at this time of year.

Evening all. Just been watching Brian Cox's new series on I-player. Fascinating, he is one clever guy, and so passionate about his subject.

Also managed to order the rest of next years seeds, 20% discount till Sunday from Chilterns.

Am going to sort out a snack now.

Hope you are all enjoying your evenings.

Thanks all for your good wishesimage

Just in from a lovely dinner out with Mr C - new restaurant round the corner, very nice indeed.

hope the floor survived its soaking Dove.  And on the subject of tv - have you all seen that Monty has a new gardening series starting Monday - something about big dreams for small spaces....

I dont think we would ever get the fibre optic BB here, our internet is slow, we are at the end of the line I think.

, mobile phone signals bad too, have to go walking round the garden if anyone phones.

Planted  the daffs in the front garden tubs. Still got loads to go in the new long border, I think I will probably regret it next Spring when I want to get plants out and soggy daff leaves everywhere.

Lyn - you may regret the daffs late spring, but think of the smiles they will give you early in the seasonimage.  Verd - glad you are now superfastimageimage.  Like lyn, we are end of the line, rural, etc, etc, due an upgrade about 2022 imageimage

London day today - will catch up with you all on the train later.

    Good morning all image

More rain overnight but still mild - dahlia still flowering happily.  Very soggy underfoot so no gardening this morning.  I'll give myself a manicure and a paint job for Aunt & Unc's WA this evening!  That'll hide the grime image  Then I'll have a lazy morning and let the paint harden - setting off for rellies after lunch.

Has anyone checked up on the Heatwave?  I want to know that it's going to be dry as well as warm - not a steam bath!
