Well GC came up trumps with 3 packs of pansies in exactly the right colours to complement tulips, and they had nice shallower than normal terracotta pots - couple of them fell into trolley as well

Also bought me garlic - one of them Early Purple wight I haven't tried before

Good news for dog lovers - they are now allowing dogs into the GC. as long as they are well behaved

So I went outside about 10 mins ago to start the planting - image - rain coming down too heavily to work in.

No worse than the Countryfile one Woodyimage

Funny how things fall into baskets/trollies etc.  Glad you found what you wanted Matty but shame about the weather.  Bright but very, very cold here(shivery face)image.

Well Pdoc, tulips don't have to be planted before November but wine has to be drunk whenever.  Problem solved.

    Hello all

Was out in garden a small bit clearing rubbish, moving bale of straw which is nice and wet - still need to add it to the horse poo yet.

    Calendar sounds good Woody

Matty2 glad you got the plants you wanted shame it started raining - did here too

I filled up empty plastic bottles with water butt water - to get extra water as butts over full

    Verdun your grass sounds lovely

Quite a lot of the bulbs are going into pots but lots in ground too, just need the weather to be better

Evening all, Throwing it down here in Worcester.  I did manage to take the baby to the park this morning before the rained started.  Haven't had a car today so very restricted in what I could do.  Really missing getting into the garden.  Never mind only 2 days to go and then I'm free for the weekend.

DD I did a similar thing once.  I thought I had overslept and got the kids up quick raced around and ran all the way to school thinking I was really late because there was no one about.  When I got to the school it was deserted, I then realised I had got up an hour early, not late at all.

Good to hear from you Bekkie.

Fidget sounds like you are having a very educational holiday in more ways than oneimage

Our little van is still not fixed, but firstborn has got her car back today so I will be mobile for the rest of the week.

Hope everyone else is OK.  Off for a browse.  Catch you all later.

OH has gone to choir practice so shall watch TV, but nothing I want to watch before The Apprentice. It was on last night too, recorded it as OH doesn't like it, so shall watch that first.

Sorry, boring post, but nothing interesting to report. Stacked a load of logs this afternoon.

I was going out to the car with a jug of water to top up the washer bottle, the phone rang so I put the jug down on a stool and it wasn't standing straight and 4 pints of water went all over the parquet image

    Duh!
