Not looking good for the greenhouse, think me and son number 1 are just going to have to attempt it. Phoned up for a quote for fitting and £150 is the cheapest!! Just blinking marvellous
Awww.....that's a blow, Tracey. Wished I lived nearer, I would offer to help.
..... I've just ordered one of my favourite roses http://www.classicroses.co.uk/products/roses/bonica/ for the sunnier end of the Shady Bank, outside the dining room window - I've grown this rose in two other gardens and it's been a delight each time - it's only failing is that it's scent is slight - but it'll be growng near a clump of Sweet Rocket and some honeysuckle - I've been trying to find a better rose for that spot, but it's got them all beat! It flowers all summer long and is the prettiest thing. Beautiful for cutting too Although it's described as a ground cover rose it can reach over a metre in height and as the bank is at least a couple of feet high that'll be perfect. As it's replacing a very old scarlet climber that was here when we moved in, I've ordered a containerised one to give it every chance - I've also dug in a big pile of FYM so it should be fine.
Should be here in 10 - 14 days says the email, but as they're only a few miles down the road maybe it'll be sooner than that

Aww Tracey that's a shame. I can't remember where you live else I'd come over to help you.
There would be a stick of rock in it for you!
Was going to post an SOS for Tracey but thought we might get fruitcakes offering help.
Well, it is Friday.
Anyone fancy Blackpool this weekend?
Fidget, will send you a PM, thanks x BTW, I agree with the others, and will add that I think an iron would also be too dangerous!!
Well, the sun has come out
Clearly I've been a good girl
Tracey, I hope you get it up soon (snigger!) I do mean it sincerely, but realised it sounded a bit rude! Sorry
I was going to say something in reply to that Panda...along the lines of, if I don't neither will.......I'll leave it there
Thank you all, you're so kind and have cheered me up, me and my big boy will manage.
By the way, I don't actually live in Blackpool but my info insists on keep changing to say I do!!! I live close enough to get to the beach though
Fidget, it's a Rosa Bonica
