Well its still dull and chilly here so I don't think your wands are working.

Just trimmed hedging, well....a bit more of a hack really took me ages to get it  level lol, should have waited for OH  to use the trimmer, well too late now image

Think I ought to do dome HW too, best get a wriggle on       BFN x

Cold front showers & blustery here in L'pool most of the day with occ. sunny periods.

Done loads of sowing & pricking out in g/h today and planted out a load of perennials for summer flowers that I got cheaply.  Time will tell if they're a bargain or not.  Too short of time (short of thyme too, but that's another matter) to plant out the rest of the onions today - will have to wait till Friday.

Trying to get ahead so I can get off to Belgium in 10 days with a reasonably clear conscience.  (That's be a first: haven't had a clear conscience since I was 12!)

Now off to prune someone's roses.  A bit late maybe?  Tuff.

Please wave sunshine wands in a north-westerly direction.

Bill, sorry to hear that, it must be so hard after all you've been through  ........ but think of it this way, he's gone to join your son over the Rainbow Bridge ((hugs)) image

Bill, so sorry your sadness keeps going on.

Bought bulbs - acidanthera murielae (white with dark purple middle)(think it's what I saw/posted for ID last summer), gladiolus nori ( lilac), lily rialto (white),

seeds- Cathy (cream)& Gwendoline( pink) sweet peas, dianthus baby doll (pink & white), sunflowers, carrots! nantes 5!

2x70litre £10 bags multipurpose compost from local GC (think it's a nursery in fact).

& a pretty bird cage thing to go on the fence (wilko bargain for £3).

Moved some plants from GH to coldframe to make room for seeds, wish I had a walk in GH.

Let me know what you think of Cathy MrsG. I grew them last year and while the scent was terrific and there were loads of flowers , I found the colour a bit disappointing. They were a little muddy - pinky/beige at the base of some of the blooms. I've got 4 different whites/creams to try this year. Acidanthera are lovely. I thought of getting some to stick in one of the raised beds for later. That compost won't go far once you start getting those all planted!

Bill, we're all sending you hugs. x

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
