Fantastic news! Best Christmas present possible - after a brief interlude we're back to GW with gravitas. Monty Don treats us gardeners as moderately intelligent folk who are keem to learn. No more hype - hurray!
Brilliant!!!! I am so pleased that Monty is coming back, only Alan Titchmarsh's return would compare! I had become quite disillusioned with GW over the last couple of years, Toby & Alys are very nice but more like Blue Peter presenters in their patronising approach. Time for some real gardening in a real garden - can't wait for Spring - woohoo !!!
I am absolutely over joyed that Monty is returning to Gardeners World. His passion for planting, growing and the whole environment in which we live is a true inspiration.
So sorry to see the departure of Alys. She was a breath of fresh air and for the first time we saw more of an emphasis on growing food and Permaculture was actually mentioned! That said I also liked Monty and will be pleased to see programmes from his garden. Let's see more of food growing please, especially organic.
I'm delighted - now I can sit down and watch the programme again instead of recording it and fast forwarding through the Toby and Alys show. They act like they've been plunged into a bucket of water for too long. Monty, like Alan Titchmarsh, is a natural presenter with an intrinsic passion which can't help but come through.
This is great news. We had stopped watching since Toby took over so to have Monty back is a great move. Sorry to lose Alys but maybe a slot can be found for her. We feel that Monty's approach was always excellent and helpful

So pleased that his health has now improved. Thank you Gardeners World.
