Great news. now I shall watch the programme again . I must admit to turning off for the last couple of years when the once brilliant programme appeared to lose its way and become what I can only describe as dull. looking forward to 2011 season with a new garden to tackle after a recent house move.
So very very pleased to read that Monti is coming back, I was so concerned when he had his stroke, and equally thrilled to learn of his recovery. I will be an avid viewer! Good luck Monti.
What brilliant news - I stopped watching my favourite programme as I just did not like Toby or Alys as presenters - Friday night just wasn't the same without Monty. I always liked Monty's approach to gardening. What is wrong with growing vegetables - there is nothing better than picking your own fresh veg. It's great that Rachel will be back, I love her garden designs. Now we just need to get back to the original Gardeners World music.
BRILLIANT LINE UP of presenters with Monty, Carol & Rachel - perfection. Love their style, garden knowledge sheer enthusiasm and commonsense. WELLDONE BBC.
We are in for a treat...I'm delighted that Monty's health has recovered enough to return to our screens.
It'll be wonderful to see such a passionate and talented gardener at work in his own, very beautiful, garden.
Sorry Toby, you must be devastated. You could only work with the tools that you were given, I hope that one day you'll be able to work in a more realistic environment ( a real garden!), that allows you to express your gardening skills to their best advantage. )
I do hope that Carol Klein gets a bigger share of presenting with Monty. It would be good to have fairly major input from Matthew Wilson and Alys as guest presenters. Monty will be a more exciting main presenter and it will be good to be in his garden as long as he gives equal weight to flowers and veg! Looking forward to more exciting Friday nights again!
