A truly well-packed garden, @JAC51 ;) Wonder how you manage to get at the plants for watering, weeding, tending, etc.

Just beautiful @AnniD I love the curve of the low hedge and the planting in your front garden.

And your back garden is equally beautiful, great plant combinations throughout.

Lovely @AnniD, you always have so much colour in your garden.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

...swathes are not for me as the garden is too small. I tend to buy one of everything and just ram it in!

Good! That's what I'm going to do. I have a large area to fill and was worried about it looking like jig-saw puzzle pieces. I'm going to do what you did @JAC51 and if it turns out half as fabulous I'll faint!
@Busy-Lizzie your garden never fails to make me gasp; even a relatively new venture. You must never sleep. Gorgeous as always.
    I love this thread. 😍

@AnniD I made the mistake of buying some dwarf snaps this year (for a small raised bed) and though the are pretty, the bees have an awfully hard time getting in the blooms. I have been feeling bad, watching them waste all the energy struggling for entry. Do you notice that you tall snaps are easier as they have bigger blooms? Bumbles don't have to force their way in with a crow bar?
