Seed germination and drought

Is anyone finding differences in reaction to drought between plant species? Especially seed viability. I've harvested seed from Honesty and Sweet Rocket. The former haven't germinated, yet the Sweet Rocket have. From past experience I've found they have similar duration from sowing to germination.

I sowed a few honesty yesterday, too soon to tell what the germination will be like. I really only want these ones to the true leaf stage so I can tell which one's which (somerset Marble and Chedglow) to label the bags with the rest of the seed in because I didn't label the plants :o.

The Honesty seed will lay on the soil until they’ve had a cold spell,  they’ll be small plants next year and flower the following year,  the ones that will flower next year are about 6/9” tall now.

Hmm, maybe I need to stick my test ones in the fridge to give them a chill. There are already some small seedlings appearing in the garden but maybe they're late ones from seed that's been there since this time last year rather than the recently-shed seed. Wait and see for now I think, because there's no room in the fridge.

I’ve never put them in the  fridge!  I’d wait for Natures Own.
    They'll germinate when they’re ready.
Mine have only just ripened probably later than most peoples.  I have a nice vase of heads indoors now.

Hi Lyn  :) Thank you both for your input. What I'll do is just put the tray outside, in a shady spot for now.
