Hi all,  well the dinner went very smoothly and nice surprise for everyone the two older GCS,  came round and sat in the garden for an hour. Their dad had tested negative for the past 2 days , and they are still negative. Great Aunt was so pleased to see them, albeit at a distance (she stayed inside with patio door open).  Got to plots afterlunch today when OH'S  sister &bil had gone home. Did some digging,  it's still, very sticky underneath but dry on top. I suddenly seem to be way behind where I should be,  ah well it will get done when it gets done.

P.S. sorry to hear of problems,  punkdoc and Hostafan.

Hope all those with aches and pains are easier in the morning.

Morning all.  A bit cold this morning and getting ready for a couple of wet days according to the weather man  No sitting on the veranda today. Pixel is sitting on the railing and watching something in the garden below.   I don’t doubt she’ll be waiting at the door hoping to be let in before long.  The newly cut wood is burning well in the firebox. 👏👏

Hosta, I’ve been thinking about you for a couple of days.  Hope you are feeling a bit happier now. Punkdoc, we rarely see deer here, but the Roos like to explore the garden, but only for a nibble and their feet are long and soft, not hard and pointy, so not a problem.

Thought you might like to see the autumn colours on the Pistacia.

Still watching the weather channel.  Horrible photos of a huge landslide in the Phillipines. Whole village gone. 🤭😳

    Good morning all.

Bright yet sharp this morning - a chilly spring morning, sunshine now but today and tomorrow will be cloudy/overcast.

I have a few cucumbers that need planting out, but I will resist for another week.  They are outside in a sheltered spot.

@Pat E  Lovely photo of the Pistacia, what a lovely colour!!  We don't get deer here @punkdoc luckily.  The only nuisances here are people's cats!!  @D0rdogne_Damsel  Lots of luck with a holistic approach to your pain.  I don't have any experience because I have never tried it.  I hope it gives you some relief.

Enjoy your day everyone.  It's very quiet here this morning!

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ I hope everyone’s feeling rested.
    What a beautiful tree @Pat E
so sad about the landslide … sometimes I can’t bear to watch the news.

I’ve a list of things to do this morning before we pack and set off to MIL’s … most important is to assemble a big Victoria sponge cake I made yesterday (rasp jam and cream filling) … tomorrow is MILs 82nd birthday … she had her 80th and 81st all on her own so although there’s no real party planned we’ll stick a candle in the cake, blow up some gallons and open a bottle of Prosecco 🥂

The other important jobs are to leave enough food for the hedgehogs, and give the seedlings a talking to about managing on their own for two or three days 😯 🌱 🌱 🌱 🤞

    Hi all
No more visitors, so white noise stopped and rags connected for tonight. Looking at the damage again this morning, really makes me sad.

Hi Tui.  Glad you like the Pistachia. There’s another one a bit further down the hill which is a deeper red.  I might try to get down there tomorrow for a photo.  We’ve not seen the sun today. Still a bit chilly, but I suppose we have to expect that at this time of the year.
