My curmudgeon today, it took me nearly an hour this morning to travel just 3 miles into town. Our local bus service appears to have been reduced to half-hourly and now includes an additional loop around the estate behind us. It had to stop at every stop into town because so many people were waiting.
It used to be such a good service, every 10-15 minutes because it serves the local hospital. I gather a lot of bus drivers have deserted to become HGV drivers with better pay.

    A bus every 10-15 minutes?
I think we have one every 2 hours

I remember the buses between Bath and Bristol were pretty efficient, despite the traffic jams they got stuck in. It was quite a shock moving down here, where we have one bus an hour into Exeter. There is one bus a day into Sidmouth, but it gets in at 11am, and returns at 1.30pm. Just long enough for a very quick lunch and a brief shop. And no buses anywhere on Sundays.

    I knew you'd comment @Hostafan1!!

Golly @Ergates, that's not a very good service. And they want people to stop driving and take public transport, fat chance.

I understand it's cheaper to go from London to Scotland by plane than by train. What's that all about??

New grumble. The supermarkets are advertising the xmas feast.   How many kids are going to be disappointed that they only get Turkey, pigs in blankets and the usual veg. The morrisons spread has enough food to feed 100, let alone the 12 or so round the table.  We will be 18 for boxing day, and we don't need anything like that amount.
Remember that Christmas dinner soup that was sold as a limited edition of 500 a few weeks back? Now available on Ebay for up to £175 a tin :|

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I agree about the Morrisons advert.  The amount of food on the table is ridiculous, even for an advert.
