Off Topic: When does your central heating go on?

    I don't like central heating although it is essential in the UK, mine is set at 17.5c it's now 19.9c and the sun hasn't shown its face for days so it will be some time yet before it goes on.

    Usually turn it on in October, off in March.

    Some of you guys have WAY different body thermostats to mine.
    I'm too cold in bed now with a 10.5 tog duvet . I'm buying a 15tog one asap.

    Only got the 4.5tog one on at the moment @Hostafan1 … and as you know, we have the upstairs windows open 😃 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    2.5tog I'd like it all year
     The conservatory didn't feel hot today, windows open and it was windy
     All the rooms apart from the bathroom in our bungalow are exterior.i think woman do have different thermostats, keep reading we have cold feet,rubbish. Am having a got flush as we speak

    I have no idea of my tog, but am happy to sleep in 12-14oC bedroom. I prefer to sleep with no heating, and if cold, have two duvets layered and the window a bit open.

    I'm looking forward to the colder weather so that I can open my bedroom window without fear of getting bitten.
    That being said, there doesn't seem to be so many biters about this year.

    I hate having warm feet and only wear shoes when absolutely necessary.

    I use a winter duvet all year round. Window is forever open in the bedroom and I have a fan on most of the year too. 

    I need a heavy duvet and white noise otherwise I can’t get to sleep. 

    Once I am asleep you could park a tanker next to me and I’d not stir. 

    I may be a tad odd.

    I admit I'm getting to the point of having on two duvets and a fan on.
