You get used to it after a while and by the time you're better, you might even be slightly ambidextrous. 😊

Todays, without the apostrophe is a perfectly acceptable, if somewhat archaic use of language, or, in my case simple laziness.

I simply presumed it was your preferred typographical style for headings 😉

Only just seen this so going back to the original question…

I have more questions than answers here.

My thoughts are centred around what happened the first time a transgender person applied for a sports event. Was that questioned (if realised) and did a debate occur? At what point in the transgender process does a person officially/legally become their new gender, as surely at that chosen point they can legitimately play sport as that gender and any actual or perceived  ‘unfair’ results are simply that. (I think the Olympic standard is a certain testosterone level and declaration of gender for male to female transgender competitors).

The world of sports distinguish between ‘men’ and ‘women’, therefore it has been recognised that there are differences in ability between a male competitors and female ones (hasn’t it?) How do we balance equality and inclusivity against unfairness and discrimination?

    As others have said.. minefield.

The thing is, I don't care. Are we nearly there yet? Will it be over soon? Will there be real news on the BBC app soon?

I loved the fact that the transgender person is now going to slip into obscurity, and didn't deny a fully fledged female a medal.  I was also pleased that Emily Campbell won a silver in weightlifting.  Strange that it turned out that not only was our former lodger  one of her friends (they were at school together), but my friends daughter is also one of her friends (they did athletics together before she switched from shot putt to weightlifting. )
