The right people in the dance off, and despite what I said earlier about my personal preference, the right result. Looking forward to next week.

  • A shame, but the right person left tonight.
  • Poor Judi, awful costume and awful music, but she was so gracious in defeat, she said some lovely things to "Gratz".

I'm assuming they were the costumes they were going to wear a couple of weeks before, ripped about a bit and some Halloween make up added.
The trouble was it looked so incongruous amongst all the other Halloween themed dances, costumes and makeup and l think Judy was resigned to her fate before it even began.
She didn't seem quite herself, but her thanks to Graziano was heartfelt l thought.

Sarah and Aliaz were so relieved to get through, l think Aliaz was convinced they were in trouble.
Katya's contract lenses were freaking me out !

From what I could make out, Judi and Graz had no chance to rehearse this week so did the dance planned for last week, hence the costumes.  I only started watching last week so don't know how good/bad she had been previousl, but definitely the weakest this week - unsurprisingly.
  • Thought Judi's costume stuck out from the others too, shame they couldn't quickly add some black netting or something to it. And perhaps change the song for her. It really didn't sit with the Halloween theme. Such a shame, such a lovely lady.  Don't think she felt completely well after covid.
  • Bless her .. she's had a tough few weeks ... on top of which it's never easy for the more 'traditionally built' celebs to compete with those of a more 'athletic' physique.  She did herself proud and I hope she realises that  :)

She did well given the circumstances and her figure but was never destined to go far on dance ability and that costume and make-up were definitely horrifying but not in a Halloween way.

She certainly didn't fill the role held in previous years by the likes of Ann Widdicombe, John Sergeant etc who were there for nothing more than their comedy value.
  • Judi was on a par with Alison Hammond ability wise but not as good as Lisa Riley if I remember those two correctly, the slebs need lots of stamina to keep producing the goods week after week even the athletes end up puffing and panting at the end of a dance Judi didn't have the stamina especially after contracting the virus, still she got half way through the series and won a lot of fans along the way so good job Judi.

Controversially I think that John and Johannes may come unstuck as I thought this week wasn't up to their usual standard and next week they have the Rumba (the dance of death) male star wise.
I thought a problem with Adam and Katya's dance was they were both wearing black and Katya's skirt was so full I couldn't distinguish between them in the dramatic lighting, I still loved the drama of the dance though but at the end felt a bit concerned for Katya having to keep those contact lenses in they looked painful to me.

Loved the professionals show dance where Nadiya came out of the painting it had the feel to the television drama Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel which I loved, also last nights Jive to Gregory Porter's song I could see that Gregory Porter was watching and enjoying the dance too.
