When to plant seedlings in the ground?

SophieKSophieK Posts: 244
I have a few seedlings that are doing very well in their 7cm pots, and as the weather is warming up starting next week, I am tempted to plant the (hardy) seedlings in the flower beds. They're between 2 and 4 inches tall depending on the plant, with several sets of true leaves.

Is there a right time / size to plant seedlings out?

Not if they are food for slugs.
You would be better waiting until they get a bit older before you let them into the  wide world of your garden, unless you are running out of room of course then plant some and keep some for backup.

@K67 You have a point. Grumpf, got to curb my enthusiasm.
