Judas Tree

my Judas tree that we planted in 1959 looks ill. Usually after flowering it looses all its leaves but not this year. Help ! Is he dying ?

    These trees are usually trouble free as long as they have good, well drained soil but they are susceptible to verticillium wilt so I would suggest pruning off one of the lower branches and checking the cross section for signs.
