After all these fabulous photos we went around our garden again to see what ferns we have. No photos as others have uploaded so many amazing ones. ferns are such a fabulous plant but so ignored but this thread hopefully will make more garden people aware of a great plant to have in the garden

@Woodgreen Nice pic of those new Onoclea sensibilis fronds. Goes well with the Epimedium; which cultivar is it?
Pic of my Osmunda regalis ‘Purpurascens’ taken today.

Lovely osmunda Papi Jo. I have three Royal Ferns but they are only just beginning to emerge here.
Epimedium X perralchicum   'Frohnleiten' is growing among the onoclea. It never ceases to amaze me when those soft marbled leaves emerge in spring -- they are so unlike the tough old leaves of the previous year which I try to remove before the new ones appear. This one is a spreader, making its way into any available spaces, good ground cover. It has bright yellow flowers.

Mooching around the top of Malham Cove this evening and the spectacular view was beaten in the awe stakes by the tenacity of these ferns growing in holes in the rocks.

I am creating a mostly evergreen border in quite sheltered shade which has a few deciduous ferns that predate my planting.  I’ve added a couple of evergreen Dryopteris and Asplenium, plus a Matteuccia but I’d love a really big evergreen fern. Can any of you fern lovers recommend one please?  I’ve been looking at Woodwardia Radicans or Fimbriata but are there others you would suggest?  I’m in the North East of England.
