Stains on slabs from pots

hi everyone. I have recently had a new patio laid and have opted for light grey concrete slabs. It’s looks amazing. I have recently potted a couple of buxus balls in tall planters with compost and been watering regularly. However the water that runs off as somehow stained the slabs it’s under. It’s almost a green/brown stain. Have since tried pressure washing it off with no joy. Any ideas on what it could be and how to remove the stains? Thanks

  • Spray with something like flash with bleach kitchen cleaner and scrub with brush, leave a few minutes then rinse. Repeat if necessary. Use saucers under pots or pot feet and you shouldn’t have this problem.
  • You could also try to use a surface sealant if you want to keep any paving pristine.

Hi Taj, when we moved recently I had to clean a good sized Patio completely algae covered and almost black in colour, I used Pro-Kleen HSD on line, you might want to have a look, this might be far to much for you as it covers very large areas but if all else fails ,this wont, follow instructions AND  leave over night then brush wash off, job for wellies ,
