i planted some veg and i have no idea what it is

Hi, im new to this gardening malarkey, however i have been enjoying it, i got a wooden planter and planted some seeds around 3 months ago, the satisfaction of watering it and watching it grow has been immense, only issue is i have no idea what i have grown or if i have grown it correct, could anybody possibly point me in the right direction and help turn my embarrassment into proudness.

Looks like one of the brassica/cabbage family to me.

Taste a bit of the leaf, if it tastes like a cabbage, it's a cabbage.

Wow, for a novice veg grower, that’s an impressive crop!

Looks like broccoli.  Cabbages have rounder leaves.  Well, it can all boil up and be eaten with mashed potatoes and lashings of butter!!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Broccoli or cauliflower, have a poke around in the middle of the plants and see if there are any flowers coming, I would probably pull half of them out and cook them like cabbage, they are a bit crowded.
  • Could it be purple sprouting broccoli?? It looks the same as mine and if so, don't do what I did last year and throw it away thinking it didn't come to much!! (But whatever it is brassica wise, it'll need thinning out and popping somewhere else)  😩 purple sprouting comes next season.  I found one id obviously missed and this year it's got successful purple sprouting tips coming out.
