Afternoon everyone - just wanted to echo all the thoughts about the importance of keeping in touch with our virtual friends🙂

Some lovely pics on here recently and Ante is making me want to go back to Croatia - soon!. We had a couple of lovely holidays there - such a beautiful country.

I've had a couple of days in the garden which always helps lift the spirits. About half way through the winter / spring rose and shrub pruning - a bit late but never mind. Also gave the lawn it's first cut yesterday - boy was that hard work! The grass was very long in places and was still very wet under the top 2". The ground is very soft and the lawn mower very heavy. First cut is always hard work but it was especially so this year.

This morning I went 'panic buying'😉 and bought 3 tins of paint. With a bit of luck & a following wind, the stairs and galleried landing bannisters could be transformed from dark stain to white and the shed may get a coat of stain at some stage over the summer.

News from Yorks not great. They've now withdrawn all FIL's treatments and are just administering pain relief / palliative care. Bit of a waiting game now.

Debs - I am so sorry to hear of the bad behaviour of some of your customers. I know peoples' nerves are a bit frayed at the moment but there's really no excuse. Unfortunately some people are just nobs ('scuse my French).

For those wanting a bit of a cheer up - head over to the Corvid (sic) thread. Don't read the the arguments in the early stages but head straight for the 20th March (yesterday). I loved Pansy's Scottish Ode to a Virus and the clip from the Mash Report had OH and I laughing out loud🙂

    See you later.

Topbird ...... I couldn’t agree more about your summary of the badly behaved customers Debs has encountered, you nailed it in one word 👍
    ....
Yeah - but I'm now fretting about whether it should be spelled with or without a 'k' when used in that context🤨😁

T'Bird - definitely with a 'k'! Sorry about the FIL news. Very sad for one and all. Ssssh, don't let Hazel know you are p-a-i-n-t-i-n-g!
p.s. I've seen that Mash Report before, in fact it was on Rez several threads ago. Very funny.

Chive it sounds like you’ve had a fruitful time in the garden.  Camellias are beautiful.  I’ve been talking to my sister and she’s managed to get a few things from sm although keeping some distance.  LB hope you are warm inside and that you enjoyed your early morning walk comforted knowing there were a few others around.  Ante a lovely picture it makes you want to travel if we could but we are currently in lockdown.  Topbird sorry to hear your news and fil not well at all and that you’ve been working hard in the garden.  Hazel no jury service as yet very sensible of them in the present climate.  I’m glad your niece will be looking after mum and that will be a weight off your mind.

If you're looking in, Runny, hope you're okay.

Sorry about the inhaler bitch Debs - you're doing a grand job.

    My seeds have arrived!

Hi all, manure spread on allotment beds looking much tidier, lovely stuff only 50p a bag ( fill it yourself) and so well rotted it doesn’t even smell.
Had a parcel from son in Liverpool who was ill earlier in the year and awaiting one from son who we think has had virus once he can go to post office.

Top bird thinking of all of you at such a difficult time, how is your MIL?
Hope you get your seeds from me soon Chey, and have success with them.
Chive has been busy in the garden what a blessing they will be in the coming weeks. It’s sunny here but wickedly cold wind.

Well done Debs. Your weather sounds similar to mine, and the wind is getting up too. Is the parcel by any chance a Mother's Day pressie?
