Gorgeous picture LB! Just having 10 minutes before getting ready for work. Not looking forward to it but it’s only 9-1 today so hoping to get to allotment later. Fiancé got me 10 bags of well rotted manure yesterday and I want to get it spread around a bit today on the beds. Sun is shining but it’s very cold. Doctors is closed so people will have to queue outside pharmacy hope they wrap up warm.

Morning LB and Debs ,sounds as though you are going to have a busy morning.

Morning Debs and Ruby. I agree about the temperature Debs, as I took a walk to the post box at the end of the lane at 07:00. I went early deliberately and it was nippy (Ante = a bit cold). Lots of cars and white vans passed me and I saw one cyclist and one lady walking her dog. It was eerie but rather pleasant. I will be getting out into the garden for sure Ruby. I have got a lot of shredding to do and that is all destined for the compost bin later.

Morning Hazel and Chive. That must be a weight off your mind Hazel and well done your niece for stepping up to the plate. Chive I've lots of large tracts of water near to me. The two biggest are Wrightington Pond - near to the orthopaedic hospital at Wrightington (I'll be OK if I need any joint replacements) and Worthington Reservoir. They seem to like nesting across the road from me at the back of my friend's bungalow.

    Hello my friends.
Came home from dog walking. It's still nice weather, last time in next few days. Except walkin my dog, I don't go out if it's not necessary. My walks are always above town in the hills and I don't meet peoples.

Hazel, it's so nice of your niece to take care of your mother. She is on safe, but I think that you will be worry all the time.

Chive, we are not stuck with you, we all enjoy in your company. This forum will be extremely important to all of us in coming time.

LB, hope so that you will have a lovely day in the garden. I also love those ducks.

Debs, always stay positive and safe. You are doing incredible job.

One more spring photo for the end. Stay safe and healthy.

Afties all. Hazel, I think that is a wonderful job your OH is doing. I often wish that in my family we had written down the general history of our forbears as there is such an historical richness there. All the anecdotes that cannot be found in a family tree trace.
Ante - I just want to be there in that lovely place! Unfortunately it cannot happen at the moment but it is just stunning. The weather has been quite kind here but oh so cold! I have had to keep popping in and out to the garden as it is too cold to stay out for too long. I'll bet Ruby is having a wonderful time with her new potting bench. Chive, don't even think like that . You are one of us now.

Just back from work not too bad though one woman (35) is going to complain that her inhaler being unavailable is my fault and I have personally put her life at risk. This was after I rang all our other branches locally to source it but was unsuccessful. Not what’s I needed but most people were lovely and happy to wait outside to be served one at a time. Not ideal but safer than being in our tiny area we use when doctors are closed. Cup of tea then off to allotment.
i tried to message Runny but it didn’t go, hope she feels able to return soon.

Debs, don't let ignorant people like that woman get you down. She should be thanking you for putting your health at risk to help others.
