    That Solanum is very pretty

Love your black/white/green combo @Fairygirl, with the acid green heuchera against the black fence to finish the picture   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Pretty, but quite unruly, @Loxley. I agree with @Liriodendron, great combination. It’s nice to know I can grow the ammi in a pot as well, @Fairygirl.

Thank you - I have tons of that Heuchera @Liriodendron - very useful for any empty spaces  ;)
One plant - split umpteen times over the years. Good value - and the flowers are great for bees.
I swap the stuff in that pot because it was my Dad's old container for stripping musical instruments [with acid] and weighs a ton ! No holes in it, so I just keep an eye on the water level  ;)
I might even get that area finished properly next year. ;)
Ideal for pots to be moved around for different seasons.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Useful to know that ammi is happy in a pot

It certainly seems to be. There's a couple of plants in that one - it's a lily pot too, so narrow and tall.
Multi headed, so a good plant for all sorts of places in a garden too. I'll certainly sow more next year and play about with it in different places.

  • My Mahonia is about to flower as well, which is surprising as normally it only starts in winter, January-February.

They flower in November here @Big Blue Sky, so it's pretty much as normal. I love it when the blackbirds move in and strip the berries off them  :)

    Fancy schmancy @AuntyRach :D
Very pretty. Lots of trees are bare here now, but some are a bit later than usual, so we may get some colour for a while longer.
