You can shape it into a little tree This clematis beast was cut down to the ankles a couple of months ago This one suffered collateral damage and was flowering again within a month. There is life after gall mite. This one's hawskshead or something like that Some of the pretty things This chap popped out when I moved a container. I wondered where he'd got to still time for a few flowers I hope.
Lovely elderberry tree, @B3. I like what you’ve done with the terracotta herb planter; I want to do something similar with mine, but it’s still in one piece and might be trickier.

Still looks quite summery in this garden, not for long probably. I’ve been postponing cutting back perennials to plant bulbs because they still looks nice.
