UH-OH, this week's email has arrived, and as the plants I wanted are back in stock I gave in  B). Even using the discount, it came in at just over £10, so free delivery. Happy Days !

I'm still waiting for my plants (ordered Wed) to arrive so assume they are held up somewhere because of the snow - we haven't seen a postman since Thursday!

Reposting - two threads with the same title?  My plants arrived very late yesterday afternoon. 1 cowslip (in flower!) and two foxgloves mertonensis. All in good condition and now sitting in the porch.  Amazed at the size of the packing box though, are they always that big?

My first order was in a pretty large box , maybe they just use one size to try and keep their costs down as opposed to storing loads of different sizes?
Don't know what happened with the duplicate thread title, it's nothing to do with secret gardens!

Thanks Eustace, but I'd better not be tempted just yet.  Now it's turned mild here, I was just wondering whether or not to repot my 2 foxgloves and 1 cowslip (in 9cm pots) into slightly bigger pots now to give them more room to grow before planting out next month?  Has anybody else done this yet?

  • Hello Lizzie my new plants I have just given them 2 quick splashes of water and checked the roots yesterday , they are in the light on my mums old trolley in our conservatory ,coldish mostly but today it's quite sunny so will warm up later here in Wales. Ive got 2 bags of fresh MPC ready so onwards to move them on too 13 cm pots on Monday, ordered some online yesterday should be here Monday. Oh will tease the roots out a bit and mix a bit of grit and maybe a bit of vermiculite with the compost, job done and give them time too grown on a bit before planting out, water as well. spring is on it's way

Thanks Valleygirl, I think I'll do the same as soon as I have time. As you say, spring is definitely on its way and all kinds of things are sprouting.

Have just placed yet another order. Was going to use one of the discount codes given on the thread but when I got to the checkout they automatically discounted my order by £2.99! Have no idea why. That was one plant free of charge and free postage. I also clicked on where it states "Order updates" so will wait and see if I get emails and texts keeping me up.to date with delivery rather than just the email to say it has been dispatched.  :)
