You are very welcome! My husband kindly offered to post them for me and came back from letter box with one of the envelopes that had been addressed wrongly..... it was going to Cornflower instead of Cornwall! It made his day, he’s still pulling my leg about it. 😂

Well this Gardener in Cornwall was very pleased that they arrived safely ! Thank you again (and to Mr Bright star)

  • Hello, dear seed sharers!  I'm one of the gardening volunteers at our local park, and this morning we had a meeting to talk about the beds in the Memorial Garden which the council can no longer afford to plant up.  There are 16 smallish beds, around 2-3 square metres each.

You get the idea from the photo - they're in the corners of the grassed areas.  This year we're going to sow them with annual flowers, because we don't have any more money for plants; but really, some reliable, low growing, bright perennials are what we need in the long term.

Does anyone have spare seeds of easy, short perennials which they'd be prepared to donate?  I've thought of achillea and geums so far, now my mind has gone blank... they need to be tidy growers which won't need staking and don't need a lot of TLC.  As you can see, it's quite an open site, with fairly fertile acid soil.

One of our number has just acquired an allotment with a greenhouse, and is very keen to use it to grow us some plants.

    Many thanks in advance!  :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
