We had a mixture of rain, sleet and snow all day yesterday and (I think) through the night. There was an inch or two of snow lying this morning, but it's the wet kind and is already mostly done from the road, paths etc. 19mm in the rain gauge from yesterday/overnight (after I brought it inside to let the snow in the top melt).
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I stuck a yardstick in the snow out in the pasture last night and we still have 19" of snowpack in areas of full sun. We have a few days of bright sun with temps in the low 40sF during the day, mid 20sF overnight. Then next Monday/Tuesday looks like another foot of snow possible.
New England, USA
Metacomet soil with hints of Woodbridge and Pillsbury
Such a shame everything goes to pot when we get a dusting...Asda have just cancelled my shopping delivery even though all the roads are clear...looks like I'm living on Hedgehog food over the weekend.

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
