Doesn't feel cool here, the cloud is trapping the heat in.

Less unpleasant here than yesterday when the outdoor temperature sensor got to 39.6, and apparently the airport (about 5 miles away) recorded 40. The wind is only mildly warm today rather than hot like a hairdryer on high. The forecast says a maximum of "only" 27C today around lunchtime and then cooling down, and a possibility if some rain around teatime but I'll believe that when I see it, as usual.

I rather enjoyed the heat wave this week even though it was a bit unpleasant in the house. The weather changed dramatically and it's been chilly and overcast since Wednesday. We've been keeping all the windows open because the husband seems to have covid despite negative tests and I was freezing in bed last night.

    It's raining, whoo hoo 😁
Nice and steady, won't be anywhere near enough,  but better than nothing.

Rain was forecast for today but we only got a few spits this morning, nothing since, and now there's none in the forecast for the next fortnight :(
