  • So cold Johnny.  If that was here where I live everything would be at a standstill - public transport, airlines, schools and offices all cancelled or closed - is it the same in your area too?  However that sunshine must be a welcome sight for you - our weather tends to be grey and damp at the moment with the odd dry, sunny day thrown in just so we don't forget that there is a sun up there among the dull skies.

Nice picture Johnny , O/H reminded me we’ve been to the Bow river & Calgary when we had a holiday in Canada 🇨🇦 many years ago

  • @islander - my daughter and family live in Oranmore, on the Galway coast - not as wet and windy as you, but not far off... we went for a day trip to Inishboffin when in Connemara the summer before last.  Absolutely beautiful, but we could see why there weren't a lot of trees... a bit blowy!

Not blowy here this morning.  It rarely is, unlike our previous home in rural Northumberland, where the wind was strong enough to snap tree stakes and blow newly-planted heathers out of the ground.  Here it's wet wet wet!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Hope you've got everything tied down, Islander!

Very windy and wet overnight, snapped a rotten fence post. Terrific hailstorm this morning, then sunny periods and heavy showers, a cold wind too.

We had some hail earlier. Saw a lovely rainbow whilst out driving.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Some heavy showers, sunshine in between them - mild and very little wind.
