  • After having the first ice of the year - frozen bird bath water and a thin layer on the larger pond we have had the most glorious sunny day with not a cloud in the sky.  However rain clouds came in at 4 p.m. and now it is raining.  We are supposed to have strong winds and rain over the next few days.  Such a pity for the sea search which commenced today.

Chilly today but the sun warmed it up enough to melt remaining snow on the drive so just a few patches left on the grass now. Looks a bit milder for the coming week here.

Raining here, dark and dismal, snow mostly all gone. Temp up to 8 deg so a lot  warmer. I'd sooner have wet and mild than cold and snow.

Up in the clouds this morning. It's slowly lifting and at least it's melted the snow.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
