    Beautiful frost this morning, absolutely no wind and a strong smell of pre-emergent weedkiller from the field nextdoor.

    9C and drizzling here in Norfolk. We have proper rain forecast for most of the day ... hurrah!  We desperately need it. The butts are low and below the surface the soil is very dry. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Well this is a storm they missed ?? been blowing a gale since the earl hours and rain.

    Nice drizzle here. Everything is getting a good wash off and a water, and the water butts are topping back up nicely.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Been raining all night a has just stopped, all 7 water butt nicely filled again. The sky is still black so might be in for some more rain, it's mild even with all the rain.

    Same for me @Fire but then I am London too, though I've known it wet here & dry on my Allotment less than 2 miles away. It's drying up now & the sun is trying to come through the cloud, but I think / hope the ground has had a decent soak AT LAST  :)

    The storm has passed still breeze but sun is out. we did have a nice drop of rain.
    Went to check everything was OK at allotment the ground looks nice and damp.
