Beetles on Wallflowers

Hi All,

Would anybody be able to help me identify these little beasties of which there are hundreds on my wallflowers and which appear to be doing them a bit of no good?

Looks like a nymph of one of the Shield Bugs

I think they're instar nymphs (an immature stage) of a shield bug ... I doubt that they'll do any serious damage.

Thank you both. That looks like them. There are so many of them! But perhaps it's something else that's caused the problem.

Might be something else. I find if I leave them all alone things sort themselves out. I love watching the wildlife
